At heart, every Signature Nordic Journey is a richly varied winter holiday. Days unfold at a relaxed pace, combining beautiful skiing and expert coaching with time to explore, unwind and enjoy the easy companionship of a small group. Depending on the destination, there may be opportunities to visit historic towns, discover regional food and culture, enjoy restorative wellness or experience another winter activity.

We also take care of the skiing equipment, sourcing high-quality, race-ready classic or skate equipment and arranging race waxing appropriate to the conditions. Guests who prefer to use their own equipment are, of course, very welcome to bring it.

The race gives the journey its shared sense of purpose. Carefully paced pre-race training, route reconnaissance and course familiarisation help you understand the terrain, identify important sections and build confidence without arriving at the start line tired. Thoughtful preparation and local knowledge remove much of the uncertainty, while the wider itinerary ensures that race day never defines the entire holiday.

Throughout the journey, we work to create a genuine sense of team. Training together, sharing experiences and encouraging one another on race day creates a supportive atmosphere in which individual ambitions are respected, but nobody feels they are taking on the challenge alone. The result is an experience that feels relaxed, rewarding and genuinely fun—whatever time appears beside your name at the finish.

Frequently Asked Questions About our Signature Journeys

Not necessarily. Signature Nordic Journeys are not reserved for elite or highly competitive skiers, and success does not have to be measured by finishing time. What matters is having the appropriate technique, fitness and confidence for the chosen course. Each journey has its own level and character, and we will help you decide honestly whether it represents an enjoyable, achievable challenge

The days before the race are carefully planned to help you feel confident, prepared and rested. Guided skiing and coaching allow you to find your rhythm on snow, refine key areas of technique and become familiar with the terrain and conditions. We also help you think through pacing, clothing, equipment, nutrition and the practical details of race morning.

Preparation is tailored to the event and the needs of the group. The aim is not to exhaust you with last-minute training, but to remove uncertainty, build confidence and ensure that you reach the start line with a clear, realistic plan for the day ahead.

No. Wildtrack Nordic takes care of your skiing equipment throughout the journey. We provide high-quality skis, boots and poles for both classic and skate skiing, selected and prepared for the technique and event. Race waxing is also taken care of, helping ensure that your skis are appropriately prepared for the conditions on race day.

Guests who prefer to use their own equipment are very welcome to bring it, and we can include their skis in the race-waxing preparations. Before departure, we will also explain any personal clothing or compulsory event equipment required, so that you arrive with everything you need

Yes. Wildtrack Nordic takes care of the race-entry process, removing one of the more complicated parts of organising an international ski event. We will collect the necessary participant information, manage the relevant administration and explain any declarations or conditions that apply. We will be required to pick up the race bibs the day before each event from the race office.

Distance is only part of the decision. Technique, climbing, altitude, course profile, likely conditions and the time available for preparation all matter. The Moonlight Classic, for example, currently offers 15km and 30km classic races, while Ylläs–Levi offers longer fell-to-fell courses in both classic and freestyle formats across separate days. We will help you compare the demands and atmosphere of each event before choosing the journey that best matches your experience and ambitions

Support begins before departure and continues throughout the holiday. Wildtrack helps with race suitability, entry administration, equipment guidance and practical preparation. In the destination, expert coaching, guided skiing and course familiarisation help you refine your technique, understand the terrain and approach race day with confidence. The precise support varies between journeys, but the principle remains the same: you can concentrate on the skiing and the experience while we help manage the unfamiliar details
