Every Masterclass follows Wildtrack Nordic’s four-stage coaching process: Observe, Refine, Practise and Integrate. The process combines the technical expertise of our highly experienced BASI coaches with a clear and progressive approach to learning.
Observe begins with looking closely at how you currently ski. An experienced coach can distinguish between the visible result of a technical difficulty and the underlying movement causing it. Rather than immediately trying to change everything, your coach identifies what is already working and the small number of developments likely to make the greatest difference.
Refine introduces focused adjustments to your movement. These might relate to balance, posture, timing, weight transfer, propulsion or the way you adapt your technique to different gradients and snow conditions. Feedback is specific, carefully prioritised and clearly explained, so you understand both what to change and why it matters.
Practise gives you time to explore those changes through carefully selected exercises, repeated movements and shorter skiing sections. Your coach continues to observe and adapt the exercises, helping you connect the technical instruction with the physical sensation of a more effective movement.
Integrate takes the refined movement back onto the trails. During longer journeys and across varied terrain, you learn to apply the technique naturally and make appropriate adjustments for yourself. This final stage turns an isolated exercise into a practical improvement that can transform your everyday skiing.
