Refining The Journey - Classic Masterclass Itinerary

Arrive at Oslo Airport where you will be met by your Wildtrack Nordic guide. Our complimentary group transfer departs the airport at 15:00, travelling approximately 1hr to Lysebu, beautifully positioned above Oslo in the heart of Holmenkollen.

Guests arriving earlier or later may choose to explore Oslo before making their own way to Lysebu. Detailed guidance can be provided on train, tram and taxi options, allowing flexibility whilst still enjoying a straightforward journey to the hotel.

After settling into the hotel, there is time to relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of one of Norway's most celebrated winter retreats before joining your coaches and fellow guests for a welcome dinner and briefing.

The evening provides an opportunity to discuss personal goals and introduce the coaching philosophy that underpins the week ahead. Drawing upon Olympic-level experience and years of coaching expertise, the focus throughout the week is not on skiing harder, but on skiing better.

Each day follows the Wildtrack Nordic coaching model, combining detailed technical observation, focused refinement and practical application across the iconic trails of Nordmarka.

Morning sessions explore the finer details of efficient classic skiing, including glide, timing, rhythm, power transfer, climbing efficiency and terrain adaptation. Through observation, feedback, technical analysis and guided practice, guests develop a deeper understanding of the movements that underpin efficient skiing.

Drawing upon Olympic-level coaching insight, sessions are highly personalised and designed to help experienced skiers unlock greater efficiency, confidence and flow. Small coaching groups allow for meaningful individual feedback, while video analysis may be used where appropriate to support development.

Afternoons are spent applying technical refinements through guided journeys across the forests, climbs and rolling terrain surrounding Holmenkollen. By repeatedly observing, refining and applying new movements in real skiing environments, guests develop a more adaptable and intuitive approach to classic skiing.

As the week progresses, the focus shifts increasingly towards understanding how technique changes with terrain, snow conditions, pacing and fatigue. The result is not simply improved technique, but a deeper appreciation of the craft of classic skiing itself.

The culmination of the week.

A rewarding journey explores some of the finest terrain within the Nordmarka trail network, combining longer distances, sustained climbing and the iconic forest trails that have shaped generations of Norwegian skiers.

This is an opportunity to bring together everything developed throughout the week, applying refined technique, improved efficiency and greater confidence across terrain that demands both skill and understanding. Skiing deep into the heart of Nordmarka provides a fitting conclusion to a Masterclass dedicated to refining every stride.

Following a final breakfast, we leave Lysebu at 09:00, arriving at Oslo Airport at approximately 10:00.

Guests making their own travel arrangements can choose from a range of train, tram and taxi options to suit their departure plans.

Enjoy a final breakfast overlooking the forests of Nordmarka before beginning your journey home.

As your journey home begins, you'll leave with greater efficiency, deeper technical understanding and a renewed appreciation for the traditions and craft of classic skiing. More importantly, you'll leave with the knowledge and insight to continue refining your skiing long after the week has ended.
